Stage 1
Firstly we start by excavating the area to the depth required based on what is being excavated. We use our own lorrys to take away and bring materials in meaning no skips or delivered aggregates to cause no disruption and mess.
Stage 2
Secondly we start by framing the driveway with a solid edging by laying the edging border blocks on a mortar mix also manholes, steps and drainage channels setting up levels for the new driveway in the process this is the most important part of any drive and again not many companys follow this procedure.
After framing the drive we can see if the driveway needs more base using string lines so we are sure we will be using the correct depth of sand meaning no dipped driveways in years to come again another important part of the process.
Stage 3
Then we have the driveway laying stage, we screed a layer of compacted sharp sand at a 30- 50mm depth to border block edgings then we start laying the block of choice of design.
Finally we brush kiln dried sand over the driveway and compact to finish.

Resin-bound driveways have become an increasingly popular alternative to other driveway surfacing methods such as tarmacadam or block paving because not only is this surface very durable and looks stunning, it is also SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Scheme) compliant. That’s great news for homeowners in areas prone to flooding because a resin-bound driveway is permeable which means water can seep through the surface and drain away. But the other great thing about resin-bound surfacing is that it has no gaps and is therefore weed-resistant.

A gravel driveway is great for the larger driveway using a good solid edging and the correct type of gravel being the larger limestone there is no roll or movement in the stone unlike the old pea shingle drives you see everyday.

Their work is impeccable and they leave no mess or rubbish. I couldn’t recommend this company more for their professionalism. It’s only sad that a driveway needs doing once as these two are really decent guys.
